CARLO

The first is the need of Erin Johnson and Krista Laroza, two missionaries at Brand New Day (in Cavite, Philippines), to pay for the heart surgery of one of the kids they're ministering to named Carlo. You can learn more about Carlo here. Brand New Day is a ministry to street children and families that live in squatter communities along the river in Cavite, and Carlo is one of the first street kids that made a decision to leave the streets, be discipled to follow Christ, and return to school. Carlo has been struggling to raise the $25,000 US needed for his surgery; we hope to help.

COMPUTERS

The second need is for a computer lab at Working Hands, also in Cavite. Working Hands is a ministry to older street kids, discipling them and seeking to teach them a trade that they can use to find regular work (e.g. - welding, wood-working, small engine repair, computer repair, etc.). They are in the process of building a computer lab that is TESDA certified (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) so that their graduates will have a nationally recognized certificate to repair computers, networks ... even use MS Office and light JAVA programming. They are still in need of computers and parts, which is where we come in.
