MINISTRIES
Feeding Ministry
In partnership with Feed My Starving Children, the Filipino American Christian Church regularly sends shipments of food and other needed supplies to over 15 different feeding sites across the Philippines. Our latest shipment of 54 balikbayan boxes was sent to the poorest of the poor (primarily children) with the aim of sharing the love of Christ and His Gospel of grace. Come to one of our gatherings and look for Jay and Haide Florentino to find out how you can help.
Refugee Life Ministry
What started with one of our congregants, Elibelle Jardio, helping a lost Karen family find their way through Regions Hospital in St. Paul has grown into a multi-faceted effort to disciple refugee communities in the Twin Cities. The goal of our Refugee Life Ministry (RLM) is to come alongside newly arrived families, provide a loving and caring hand of friendship, and show - through our words and deeds - the love of Jesus Christ.
RLM, through Arrive Ministres of Minnesota, "adopts" at least one newly arrived family per year, helping them to furnish their new homes, find the grocery store, get all of their documents in order, and provide for their other basic needs. But beyond that, it serves this family and the larger refugee community in the Twin Cities by providing those same basic needs to all, and also providing for the spiritual need that can only be satisfied in Christ.
Missions Ministry
FACC is and has always been committed to making disciples of all nations and currently supports missionaries to the Philippines and India. Our goal is to live out the Great Commission (Matt 28:16-20) in every aspect of our lives, as well as provide opportunities for those interested in serving or supporting overseas and local missionaries. We regularly have missionaries visit our church and publish missions reports in our weekly bulletin. Please contact Jay Florentino, the head of our missions committee, if you would like more information.
Ministering to the Body
There are many opportunities to "serve the body;" that is, serve the brethren of the local church so that it may continue in its goal of glorifying God through discipleship and worship.
The church is always in need of help in our:
•Kitchen Ministry
•Sunday School
•Church Van Driving / Maintenance
•Choir
•Music Team
•Greeting
•Ushering
If you are feeling called to serve in any of these capacities, send us an email at info@faccmn.org or ask anyone at church how you can get more involved!
If you are interested in making a donation to help any or all of the ministries listed above, or if you would like to support the church in general by making a donation to FACC's general fund, we invite you to visit our giving section (link). Your generosity, love, caring, and support are humbly appreciated and we thank you for entrusting us with your gift.
"And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. And he called his disciples to him and said to them, 'Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.'"
-Mark 12:41-44
"'I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'"
Matthew 25:36-40
